Legacy Fiduciary Services

Izdara members have their Shariah estate planning handled by Legacy Fiduciary Services, a specialist fiduciary practice that has worked almost exclusively on Shariah-compliant estate planning since 2010.

Legacy brings together the two halves of the problem that are usually split apart. Their team holds the South African legal and tax side — Chartered Accountants, admitted attorneys, deceased estate administrators — and the Islamic law of succession side, through Prof Muneer Abduroaf, who heads the Legal Desk of the Muslim Judicial Council.

As an Izdara member you receive a standard Shariah-compliant will and a first consultation of up to one hour at no cost. Anything more involved — trusts, business interests, offshore assets, estate duty planning — is quoted to you in writing before any work begins.
